What Weve Been Up To - updated Sept 10, 2009

Makayla just had a great summer! Lots of fun in the sun with family and friends, She had a Dance Camp, a Zoo Camp and swimming lessons most weeks.

Makayla alos started Kindergarten last week and so far so good, its a stuggle sometimes to get her to do her homework but shes learning lots and having fun, she even play teacher with Lincoln and Aden.

Jen is working very part time at a Yoga Studio (Yoga Mandala), and working on her Yoga "Practice" as they call it and has signed up to the Teachers Training Course which is a 8-9 month program.

Jon has had an interesting time this summer regarding employment, quit/was fired from the acct company he was at, then they called me back 2 months later begging me to go back, but 2 months of little to no income realy hurt. So things are on the mend. It also puched me to make a decision on getting started more seriously with Tom and Ryan in Cheques Direct. So i now spend 80% of my time there and only 20% of my time on the accounting company stuff.

The last 30 days, St patricks day, more skiing and Makaylas 5th Bday

Okay so here is an update for the last month.

Makayla had some Skiiing lessons at COP and afterwards we headed to the Ski Jumps, we went to the top of the jump up the glass elevator, but i forgot my camera in the car, but atleast i aws able to get a good pic from the bottom looking up!

We also were able to go Skating with Ryan, Tiff, Landon and Samantha on McKenzie lake.

Makayla was able to move a little bit on her own with out holding onto anything but needed assistance for the most part. I took a sweet tumble and bonked my Knee pretty good but im okay now.

the same night that we went skating we ended up having to drive home through a random blizzard, it took about 2 hours to get home. It was crazy fun, for me anyways. Cars were stopped all over Deerfoot, it was actually easier to drive without lights on, becuase the glare from the headlights was near blinding due to the blowing snow.

MK and Aspen enjoyed many days playing outside in the snow, MK will eat snow 24/7 if we let her.

MK also had a friend grace from school over, they played dress up and other things, and i just happened to spot Jen in a bunny costume, hehe she;s gonna kill me for that one.

St Patricks day was in the last 30 days as well, and jen make Clover leaf green Pancakes for breakfast, and Green, perogies, green water and broccolli for dinner! it was pretty cool to eat green perogies!

And yesterday was Makayla's Birthday, she is now 5! She had some friends over and they all had a blast, for some reason i didnt take to many pictures. But we had the bouncer in teh basement, they played upstairs, and all got balloons, and a puzzle and some cool cookies jen made, which again i forgot to take a picture of.

Jen was burning the midnight oil to get prepared for it, In fact im pretty sure she didnt even get to bed. But the cake she made was awesome!!

I made home made pizza's entirely from scratch, and the cake was from scratch to.

All in all it was a great day, the night before we took MK to the White Spot Restaurant for her Bday dinner, so she got to eat out of the pirate ship which is her favorite part. the yesterday after her party we took her to monsters vs. aliens at the movie theatre, and we just happened to be able to watch the 3D version of it which was really cool, we all looked super cool in our geeky glasses, but so did everyone else in the theatre.

This weekend is also General Conference for Church, So we were able to catch 1 session on tv yesterday, and will be able to watch both sessions today.

So thats whats up with us.

Ill post a bunch of picutres to for your viewing enjoyment.

Umm, why are we eating 36 of those cheap wings every week and not some of your home made pizza? Atleast with the pizza we can throw some veggies on so it's not entirely grease being consumed. Plus we wouldn't have to leave the comfort of your home or mine. Things have to change!
