What Weve Been Up To - updated Sept 10, 2009

Makayla just had a great summer! Lots of fun in the sun with family and friends, She had a Dance Camp, a Zoo Camp and swimming lessons most weeks.

Makayla alos started Kindergarten last week and so far so good, its a stuggle sometimes to get her to do her homework but shes learning lots and having fun, she even play teacher with Lincoln and Aden.

Jen is working very part time at a Yoga Studio (Yoga Mandala), and working on her Yoga "Practice" as they call it and has signed up to the Teachers Training Course which is a 8-9 month program.

Jon has had an interesting time this summer regarding employment, quit/was fired from the acct company he was at, then they called me back 2 months later begging me to go back, but 2 months of little to no income realy hurt. So things are on the mend. It also puched me to make a decision on getting started more seriously with Tom and Ryan in Cheques Direct. So i now spend 80% of my time there and only 20% of my time on the accounting company stuff.

Well, lots has happened in the last 2 months,

 First there was easter, and there are some pics of egg making, and some cool sunglasses MK got in her easter basket.

 Then some time she got her face painted again, She loves getting her face painted!

Then Marc & Brooke and kids came up for an unexpected mothers day surprise for my mom, it was great to have all the grandkids together at once. and Tiff & Ryan had their new baby boy Kbrandon (with a silent k) hehe

I took MK and Aden on a couple motorbike rides around the block on patricks bike. Zoom Zoom. Im getting close to buying one again myself.

 Then there are pics of the kids and us guys playing in the basement on adens scooter, amazingly enough that thing holds me up!! dont tell brooke! Shhhh

Some time in June we went to Calaway Park with the whitehead and wrides, it was fun fun fun, MK loves all the rides! and for some reason everytime we go she asks me to take her through the haunted house!!! I hated the hounted house till i was like 16!! She is way braver than me!

Then MK had her Dance Recital practice! 2nd year in Ballet class. I think Jen said next year she is in both ballet and Jazz.

Then Barry and Heather came out to stay for a weekend, and boy did they get put to work, we dug up sod, replanted sod, moved the garden, planted the garden, mixed in manure ewww. and put up a dog keeper outer fence too!

MK loves it when they come, she loves the attention, and Aspen really took a liking to Barry to! I think it had something to do with the fact that he rarely tells her no.

Then MK also has Gracie come over to play, they made a fort under the kitchen table with blankets and stuff.

And last week we went to the Zoo with the Kinsmans, Took some pics etc etc.. its been busy!!!

Oh and last weekend I bought a bought with Kent, IT was completely unexpected and out of the blue, but we bought a bought. Not sure if were going to keep it or sell it or what were thinking of renting it out over the summer to pay it off and then the boat would be free! I got a screaming deal on it, one of my accounting clients is going into near bankruptcy and needed cash fast...

Well that pretty much gets us up to date.

Not cool jon.. not cool at all.

Wicked garden setup. Wish we had a garden... least we have an unlimited supply of those onion thingys.

I can hardly recognize Makayla in her dance outfit. She's growing up too fast man... makeup = dangerous. Samantha gets non till she's 22.

After watching it I had the same expression Marc has in the picture above.

7 days and counting as an official Boat owner, very impressive! I hope your boat business doesn't go into bankruptcy where you then have to give a "screaming deal" to someone else. You should keep it and become the "token" guy in your Ward who takes everyone out on his boat, which is generally more appealing then being the "token" Nerf Guy in the Ward.

Hello Calgary,
We had a great time working in the yard,you know us ,always up for a project.Play your cards right Ryan and we'll fix up your yard next year.Sorry we missed the recital but we had so much fun with the dancer herself.I'll let Barry comment on the boat.

How you gonna pull the boat? Definately think it's a keeper-Marc and I would love one someday. If you keep it long enough, maybe we'll buy it off you :)

MK is getting so big, can't believe she'll be in Kindergarden this fall. Nice Speed boat, I would love to rent it from you if I lived closer. it would be a little expensive to ship it down here to Georgia.
