What Weve Been Up To - updated Sept 10, 2009

Makayla just had a great summer! Lots of fun in the sun with family and friends, She had a Dance Camp, a Zoo Camp and swimming lessons most weeks.

Makayla alos started Kindergarten last week and so far so good, its a stuggle sometimes to get her to do her homework but shes learning lots and having fun, she even play teacher with Lincoln and Aden.

Jen is working very part time at a Yoga Studio (Yoga Mandala), and working on her Yoga "Practice" as they call it and has signed up to the Teachers Training Course which is a 8-9 month program.

Jon has had an interesting time this summer regarding employment, quit/was fired from the acct company he was at, then they called me back 2 months later begging me to go back, but 2 months of little to no income realy hurt. So things are on the mend. It also puched me to make a decision on getting started more seriously with Tom and Ryan in Cheques Direct. So i now spend 80% of my time there and only 20% of my time on the accounting company stuff.

Williams Lake Part 1

So this summer we had a special wedding to go to. Makayla's birth mom Kim was getting married!!!! and Makayla was the flower girl!

But more on that later,

This post is about are travels to and our stay in Williams Lake, Which is actually not true since Barry and Heather live on Felker Lake... anyways its close to williams lake.

So we stayed at the big hotel on another lake on the way there. Let just say I wasnt impressed by the services or the food. But I can now say ive stayed in the hotel with the big red roof in the mountains.

The morning after we went to the Enchanted Forrest!! I have always wanted to go there since I was a kid. Its one of those places as a kid you drive by on the highway and beg your parents to stop but they never do.

Anyways, it was a blast, and MK was the perfect age for it too. It was chalk full of fairy tale creatures and small houses you could go in and even like a 100 foot tall tree house that you can go all the way to the top in. It was really cool!!

And they even had a fish/duck pond where you could buy food, the ducks were even nice enough to eat right out of your hands! It didnt even hurt, but was a little scary the first time they tried it.

Later that day we made it to Felker Lake to Barry and Heathers place, we got all settled and I think we even went for a swim that night. Then later in teh evening Barry and Heathers neighbors Peter and Darlene took us all out on their boat for an evening ride.

I just love it out there. Especially in the early morning when the lake is calm.

So here are some pics. More on the wedding to follow!

Sorry Jon at the time we couldn't afford it:( or we knew that we would never get out of there with trying to chase 5 of you guys from the Enchanted Forest:)

I'm so glad Makayla has such a great time with you and Jen - not to mention the special times which she has with Barry and Heather:)
